“One is never afraid of the unknown; one is afraid of the known coming to an end.”
Great leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) led by Comrade Mohammed Ereji dissociates itself from the recent controversial award given to Ibrahim Magu who is the current acting chairman of Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
We are not delighted that some set of unidentified people dragged the name of the association into mess by going to the EFCC office located at Abuja to present an award to Magu.
The leadership of NAPS was shocked when we came across a story titled “Naps Honours Magu in Outstanding Performance on Corruption Fight”. We were not only shocked but sad that some people who are not a student of any institution related to polytechnic in this nation and has not in anyway participate nor solidarize with NAPScould parade themselves as NAPS executives.
NAPS is using this medium to send a strong signal to the EFCC acting chairman that the award given to him is not from NAPS, in a nutshell, it is not an authentic award. It is not either rectified by the executive or legislative arm of the association.
As a body fighting corruption in the country, we give Ibrahim Magu the duration of 7 days to invite the unidentified awardees, investigate them and bring them to book. This will serve as a warning to other people who engage in this abominable acts.
Corruption fight starts from you.
Aluta Continua!!!
