Bayern Munich will play Wolfsburg on Tuesday in the DFB Pokal and Carlo Ancelotti is expecting Thiago Alcantara to return to action.
The Spain international will return to action for the first time in 2017, after sustaining a hamstring injury in Bayern’s training camp in Qatar.
Thiago will play the full 90 minutes in the midweek fixture and Ancelotti also confirmed Kimmich is fit after missing the 1-1 draw against Schalke.
“Thiago can help us with his quality. He is ready and he can play 90 minutes. He’ll be in the starting line-up,” Bayern’s head coach told a news conference.
“Kimmich trained today [Monday], he is fit and has no more problems. All the other players are in good shape. They’ve recovered well.”
