COSON Welcomes Universal Music To Nigeria @cosonng @cosonfoundation

A powerful team from Universal Music; the largest music conglomerate in the world, was at Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON)’s Headquarters in Ikeja on Monday, January 16, 2017 to discuss areas of co-operation between the two organizations.

One of the key reasons for the visit of Universal to COSON is the impending investment in Nigeria, to tap into the significant potentials in the Nigerian music industry.

In the team were the Senior Vice President, Universal Music; Mr. Adrian Cheesley, Financial Director; Mr. Fazel Dolley, Senior Vice President A&R for Central Europe and Africa; Mr Joe Chialo and Managing Director for South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa; Mr Sipho Dlamini.

Welcoming them to COSON, the chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji assured them that the Nigerian music industry is ready for investment, as the government of the day has promised to take those measures that would promote the industry and protect the creators and investors alike.

COSON General Manager, Mr Chinedu Chukwuji while speaking noted that COSON is steadfast and will remain muscular in its defence of the rights of every investor in the industry and that the organization is looking forward to a robust engagement with Universal Music.
