When marriage becomes a "battle field", just let go completely for the sake of your sanity and life.
The owner of the house where a lawyer, Yewande Oyediran, was alleged to have killed her husband, Adelowo Oyediran, on Tuesday told the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan that the wife indeed stabbed her husband during an argument.
Three witnesses were presented by the prosecution at the resumed hearing, including Chief Akinpelu Adelodun, who was the couple’s landlord in Ibadan.
Adelodun told Justice Muktar Abimbola that he was at the couple's apartment when the argument became ugly and that he made an attempt to calm them down. He said Yewande insisted that she would injure her husband.
The landlord told the court that the misunderstanding continued till around 3am and that at a point, Yewande became calm.
He said he was, however, surprised to hear a noise around 6am same day, leading to his.
Earlier, Adelodun said a cheque issued in his name as transport fare to appear in court should be returned.
Adelodun was alleged to have requested his transport fare before he would appear in court, but he denied the allegation, saying that he did not instruct anyone to make the demand on his behalf.
Someone is just trying to bungle the case and discredit the landlord's eyewitness account with that story of him asking for money before appearing in court. He has dismissed it openly.
